The UNSW School of Optometry and Vision Science is running a Dry Eye social media campaign, Defy Dry Eye, to raise awareness of the disease and launch its Dry Eye Clinic.

The campaign will run from 30 July to 10 August.

Nicola Kapo, from the School of Optometry and Vision Science, said the school is hoping to raise awareness about dry eye disease, highlight latest research and launch the new Dry Eye clinic as a statewide referral centre for diagnosis, imaging and evidence-based management of dry eye.

She said the initiative was part of a final year Master of Clinical Optometry research project undertaken by students.

The school will be posting daily on its social media channels throughout the campaign.

Optometrists can refer patients to the new UNSW Dry Eye clinic for comprehensive diagnosis, imaging and evidence-based management of dry eye.

To contact the clinic phone 02 9385 4624.
