How to get there, where to stay and what
to do in the area
SA Blue Sky Congress will again be held at the fantastic Adelaide Hills Convention Centre, which we believe takes the relaxed style of our boutique little conference to new heights! The Adelaide Hills are not known as the "Land of the Long Lunch" for nothing and we intend to capitalise on it!
SA Blue Sky Congress has booked out the whole of The Adelaide Hills Convention Centre, just outside Hahndorf. The venue is set amongst rolling hills, natural bush and vineyards and enjoys spectacular 360 degree views. Just 12 minutes from he tollgate and 40 minutes from the airport, the resort is only four years old, modern, fresh and comfortable.

Where to stay - Book early!!
Right on site! There are a range of brand new 4 star chalets on site for couples, families and friends. We have also worked with the venue to help combat the shortage of accommodation which plagued us last year. They have canvassed the other local accommodation suppliers and booked the majority of accommodation in Hahndorf for Congress delegates.
Once you arrive you can just bunker down for the weekend and need be in no hurry to leave! Catch up with your friends on your deck, over breakfast or in the pool!
If you want something more casual: the resort also has a campsite and caravan park with modern amenities.
The venue is handling all accommodation bookings at the resort and locally call 1300 763 836.

The onsite restaurant has new owners and will be open for breakfast (book this through your accomodation) and for dinner on Thursday and Friday evenings.
Where to park
Right outside the front door, free-of-charge, after a relaxed cruise up the freeway through the Mount Lofty national park.
If you're lucky enough to own a vintage open-topped car or a motor bike you might want to choose the old freeway (follow signs for Eagle on the Hill and get back on at Crafers) for the pleasure of a few more bends.
Alternatively, if you're fit enough - use your push-bike! OSA member and delegate Andy Griffiths is organising a group cycle!

Having fun in the area (for you and your family)
Why not bring your partner and the family? There is plenty to do in and around Hahndorf and Adelaide for all of you, so stay a few days, relax and enjoy! Feel free to use the crèche so that your partner can also take some time out and explore Adelaide or pamper themselves back at the hotel.
Hahndorf (just 10 minutes stroll) is a popular tourist destination where you can happily potter away a few hours tasting wine, cheese and other locally produced produce, nosing around the myriad of arts and crafts galleries, gifts and fashion outlets. Plenty of ice cream and restaurants too. A little further out of Hahndorf is the famous Beerenberg fruit farm where you can pick strawberreis off the farm, grab lunch or indulge in cream teas. Next door is The Farm Barn petting zoo.
A bit further away (10 minute car/bus) is Stirling - more great shops and coffee and arguably the best chocolate shop on the planet (Red Cacao).
If you love animals, look no further than Cleland Wildlife Park or Monarto Zoo, which has the largest pride of lions in captivity in Australia. Get in early to book one of their fantastic behind-the scene tours such as feeding the lions, the giraffes or patting a meerkat. There has been a baby boom this year at Monarto Zoo, with the birth of two giraffe calves and 5 cheetah cubs.
Enjoy your garden? Take a stroll around Mount Lofty Botanic Garden (just 10 minutes away). If you're feeling energetic, walk to the summit and enjoy a beer taking in the views across Adelaide to the ocean.
