Reward for clinical skills

Jose Estevez received the Clinical Excellence Award in Optometry at Flinders University’s prize-giving night on 13 April.

Mr Estevez received the award for demonstrating the best clinical skills and professionalism within an optometric practice setting while undertaking a Master of Optometry. He graduated from the degree in 2015.

The $400 prize for the award was sponsored by Optometry South Australia.

Other prize winners include Rebekah Hopps, who won the Bachelor of Medical Science (Vision Science)/Master of Optometry Academic Excellence Prize, Demi Aitchison who won the Rural and Remote Clinical Optometry Award, and Oliver Mojica who won the Paediatric Clinical Optometry Award.

The 2015 Flinders University optometry cohort graduation ceremony was held on 14 April.
