This seminar will provide participants with updates in glaucoma management, key clinical pearls to early detection and management as well as collaborative care. Differences in equipment and impact on clinical findings, what to do with glaucoma suspects, when to refer and when to hold on to will all be discussed.
Guest speakers are early career optometrist John Komser and former optometrist and now early career ophthalmologist Dr Nicholas Toalster. Dr Toalster is currently undertaking a glaucoma fellowship at RVEEH and previously completed a corneal fellowship at the Sydney Eye Hospital. He is passionate about training the next generation of healthcare professionals. John Komser is an early career optometrist practising at the Australian College of Optometry, private ophthalmology clinics and the RVEEH early glaucoma monitoring clinic.
An interactive team-based learning session will be included as part of the seminar, with 6T CPD points available for participants (with assessment).
