Presenting Sunday

Leigh Robinson will be presenting  at WAVE 2020 on Sunday 22nd in the Dispenser Sessions.

  • SUN 9.00 AM – 9.30 AM
    Frame & Frame Selection
Frame selection requires considerably more than finding a frame the patient likes. The key to a successful frame selection process is selecting the right frame for the lenses while addressing the patient’s likes & dislikes. The dispenser needs know-ledge of the prescription and how the lenses will look in the frame. In this workshop we also discuss frame types, materials & the importance of frame size to help simplify frame selection.

  • SUN 10.35 AM – 11.05 AM
    Dispensing Advanced Lenses
The presentation looks at what advanced lenses are and what lens designers are trying to do for your patients. We briefly examine oblique astigmatism, aberrations and distortion and how lens design can improve off axis visual acuity. We explore the importance of Abbe value and Base Curve and the benefits of Aspheric and Atoric lenses.

  • SUN 11.35 AM – 12.05 PM
How to Survive & Thrive in Today’s Competitive Environment
Don’t do what the others do. Do what the others don’t do! This presentation explains that competing is not the same as copying & explores the need to know your market to be able to survive and thrive within it. Learn about the importance of image and the secrets of fashion, value & to sell the benefits of optical appliances rather than the appliances themselves.
