  • Ocular and systemic investigations required for proliferative diabetic retinopathy. Ocular investigations to be discussed include: optical coherence tomography, fluorescein angiography and OCT-angiography.
  • That both ocular and systemic management is required for the treatment of proliferative diabetic retinopathy. That the mainstay of ocular management is panretinal photocoagulation, although intra-vitreal anti-VEGF therapy may also have a role.
  • The indications for performing vitrectomy surgery in patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy
