Learning Objectives

  • Gain an understanding of the appropriate collaborative care and referral of patients with cataract
  • Become more familiar with the clinical dilemmas associated with low-dose atropine for myopia control
  • Improve knowledge on the Black Triangle Scheme and the intentions behind its development
  • Better understand how low blood pressure and obstructive sleep apnoea can increase risk of development of glaucoma
  • Become more familiar with the therapeutic medication prescribing patterns of Australian optometrists
  • Improve knowledge on retinal changes associated with COVID-19 as detected by OCT
  • Become more familiar with the presence of reticular pseudodrusen in AMD
  • Gain a better understanding of the prevalence of and techniques used in the detection of diabetic retinopathy
  • Become more familiar with how best to diagnose glaucoma progression with the use of OCT
  • Gain a better understanding of the resources available to detect and manage dry eye disease, including the use of topical steroids
  • Become more familiar with adenoviral conjunctivitis and the therapeutic medication management required to appropriately manage this
