  • Review the causes of secondary angle closure and how to recognise these.
  • Be familiar with therapeutic options for the angle closure glaucomas, including a. Primary angle closure b. Acute angle closure glaucoma c. Secondary angle closures
  • Understanding the definition of acute loss and presentation
  • Be familiar with the causes of acute vision loss
  • Familiarisation with a targeted history to aid differential diagnosis
  • Review of objective findings
  • Be familiar with further investigations required
  • Understand the different treatment options for POAG and where iStent fits in
  • Understand how the iStent works and how it is inserted
  • Understand what this means for your patient
  • Understand the practicalities of peri-operative care
