Learning Objectives

  • Participants should be able to systematically assess the optic disc for hallmark characteristics of glaucoma.
  • Participants should be able to understand and appreciate the pearls and pitfalls related to the diagnostic features of optical coherence tomography (OCT).
  • Participants should be able to understand and compare the structural and functional tests in the work-up of a glaucoma patient.
  • Participants should be able to understand the initial and follow-up management strategies for ocular hypertensive patients.
  • Participants should be able to recognise and diagnose possible aetiologies of diplopia, as well as identify red flags for the urgent referral of patients with diplopia.
  • Participants should be able to understand both surgical and conservative management strategies for patients with diplopia.
