By Optometry Australia

Optometry Australia is excited to invite you to register for Optometry Virtually Connected, an innovative way of learning and connecting with colleagues, optometry leaders and product innovators.

Optometry Virtually Connected will be held completely online from 26-28 June 2020, giving you maximum flexibility to participate without having to leave the comfort of your home or practice. Registrations are now open.

A total of 22.5 points are available from a combination of accredited live CPD webcast sessions on myopia control, vascular myths, contact lenses and an OCT masterclass plus on-demand webcast sessions brought to you by Optometry Australia’s Institute of Excellence. You can also access additional CPD points by attending exhibitor webcast presentations held within the Product Showcase.

As you visit Optometry Virtually Connected you can pop into our virtual chat room and connect with fellow delegates.

Take time to learn about the latest clinical and patient management technology and products on the market by visiting 23 product innovators and eye health organisations – including our platinum sponsor Alcon. They will be located within our virtual Product Showcase, the first of its kind in Australian optometry.

We’ll also be there with our own virtual booth which will be manned at times by Optometry Australia’s President – Darrell Baker, CEO – Lyn Brodie and our Member Support team.

Members can register for this inaugural event for free (normally valued at $299). New Zealand optometrists will also be invited to attend, also for free as an introductory offer. Non-members and other international delegates are also welcome to attend a restricted program for an introductory fee of $349, discounted from $649.

More information, including an event program, is available here.

Once registered, and once the event is open, you can connect to Optometry Virtually Connected with any digital device – computer, tablet or mobile phone. Connection may not be optimal however, on older devices supported by outdated technology or if you have a low or minimal internet bandwidth.
