- 1. Understand that Fuch’s Endothelial Dystrophy is the commonest cause of endothelial failure and there are potential new treatment strategies for this.
- 2.Understand the difference between endothelial keratoplasties: Descemet’s Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSAEK) versus Descemet’s Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK)
- 3.Understand that there is a new technique called DWEK/DSO, which does not involve a corneal transplant and that this is a very promising technique that we are currently recruiting for clinical trials.
