Activity Outline

The Art of Ocular Imaging (AOI) Conference Melbourne 2026 is filled with cutting edge presentations by esteemed clinicians about imaging in ocular disease and the application of imaging in practice. An additional hands-on opportunity to attend two, 1-hour interactive Masterclasses based on nuances of disease using particular diagnostic pieces of equipment. Masterclasses are run by company educational specialists, one by ZEISS on the CLARUS 700 Ultra-wide field photography camera and the CIRRUS 600 with information on FORUM and image overlay and the other Masterclass run by Heidelberg Engineering either on the SPECTRALIS OCT or the ANTERION.

Learning Objectives

  • Familiarisation with the Heidelberg Engineering SPECTRALIS and ANTERION devices, discuss biometry-related data to identify and analyse images of common pathologies (anterior and posterior segment) and understand the significance of various imaging features to clinically diagnose
  • Use ultra-widefield imaging & discuss practical strategies to unlock full clinical potential, refining techniques & expanding skillsets. Participants will be guided through acquisition techniques for CLARUS & CIRRUS 6000 with AngioPlex, including a first look at AI guided OCT image assessment with CIRRUS PathFinder & learn how AngioPlex OCTA 7 CLARUS True Colour Wide Field imaging of the retina can be overlayed in real time with the FORUMRetina WorkPlace data management solution.
  • Apply acquired skills learnt in their own clinical practice setting for application and implementation
