Activity Outline

The Bondi Eye Doctors team is excited to expand our specialty services with Glaucoma Surgery and Neuro-ophthalmology with the addition of Dr Jenny Hepschke. 

She is an experienced Cataract and Glaucoma surgeon with proficiency in the management of complex/advanced cataracts, MIGS as well as management of Glaucoma and Optic Neuropathies from other causes and Neurophthalmic disorders. 

Dr Jenny Hepschke is delighted to invite you to an interactive Neuro-ophthalmology workshop, where she will discuss neuro-ophthalmology red flags, but also take you through case studies and her management process.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand neuro-ophthalmic pathways
  • Identify key neuro-ophthalmic disorders, such as optic neuritis, papilledema and thyroid eye disease
  • Recognize neuro-ophthalmic red flags, such as sudden vision loss, double vision, anisocoria, and proptosis
  • Differentiate between ocular and neurological causes of vision loss
  • Perform comprehensive neuro-ophthalmic examinations
  • Interpret imaging and diagnostic findings, such as retinal photos and OCT
  • Discuss urgent and emergency conditions
  • Optimise referral pathways for neuro-ophthalmic conditions
