Learn about end to end Cataract management, from vital information in the referral letter to pre operative counselling, our planning and surgical process, post op tips for managing patients longterm after surgery. In addition we will be reviewing the status and success rates of the current available glaucoma surgeries in Australia, as well as some tricky injection cases.
Learning Objectives
- Review the vital information to include in the referral for cataract surgery and become confident in pre-op counselling in introducing the different lens options to the patient. Learn about our robust surgical process Gain knowledge on post operative counselling after cataract surgery, managing residual refractive errors and other abberrations to round off a collaborative approach to cataract management.
- Review the available surgical options for glaucoma and when patients are suitable for them, along with success rates and longevity data.
- Gain knowledge on out of the ordinary intravitreal injection cases and different approaches to problem solving to maintain patients' vision. Gain knowledge on unusual OCT signs that can help you in diagnosing these cases.
