- Dr Fergusson will aim to enhance attendees knowledge and skill base in identifying and diagnosing complicated ocular disease.
- In particular DR Fergusson aims to enhance optometrist ability to diagnose and co manage cateract both trauma and senile. Development of a management plan with the optometrists; • appropriate choice of medicines (this may involve writing a prescription, ceasing medicines, dose adjustment, advising on over-the-counter medicine) • advice to the patient about the appropriate use of the medication • development of a treatment plan • monitoring outcome

Including development of a management plan • appropriate choice of medicines (this may involve writing a prescription, ceasing medicines, dose adjustment, advising on over-the-counter medicine) • advice to the patient about the appropriate use of the medication • development of a treatment plan • monitoring outcome

- Differential diagnosis discussions will be broad around those key areas in objectives 3.-5 (above). He will aim to assist optometrists with differential diagnosis of; 1. PXF, microhaemangiomata,PXG. 2.PXF, Senile, pigment dispersion. 3.AAU, Fuchs, Pan uveitis 4. Corneal dystrophy, Fuchs 5.Trauma, LASIK,PRK,RK 6.HSV,HZV,Trauma 7.PXF,PDS,POAG,PCAG 8.Bells Palsy, v palsy, VI Palsy, III palsy
