Learning Objectives

  • Attendees will feel updated on which laser vision correction technique would be most appropriate for their patients with high refractive error.
  • Attendees will be able to consider whether their patient with high refractive error would be suitable for ICL or CLE surgery.
  • Attendees will learn which patients may require discussion with a refractive counsellor prior to being seen in clinic by a surgeon.
  • Attendees will gain a better understanding the signs of retinal and macular disease on OCT and wide field imaging platforms
  • To improve the ability of attendees using these diagnostic tools to diagnose and provide advice to patients
  • Attendees will be able to better understand how these retinal diseases may affect outcomes after cataract surgery
  • To understand the difference between minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and minimally invasive bleb surgery
  • To understand the various minimally invasive glaucoma surgery devices available and how patient factors influence the choice of device
  • To develop an understanding of potential post operative complications associated with minimally invasive glaucoma surgery
