Learning Objectives
- Describe a patients presenting signs and symptoms for both MH and ERM and when it may be appropriate to refer for specialist examination
- Recognise through OCT and fundus imaging the features of MHs and ERMs
- Understand the development and stages of a macular hole and appropriate management techniques
- Participants should learn that OCT has its limitations in diagnosing and excluding glaucoma
- Participants should be aware of risk factors that may lead to misinterpretation of OCT in glaucoma assessment
- Become familiar with the characteristics of microcystic macular edema in optic neuropathy
