Learning Objectives
- Demonstrate correct patient selection criteria and treatment parameters for Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy in the management of meibomian gland dysfunction and aesthetic indications, as assessed through post-test MCQ performance.
- Differentiate the clinical mechanisms, procedural protocols, and contraindications of Radiofrequency (RF) and Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT) to guide evidence-based treatment decisions for dry eye disease patients in practice.
- Apply a structured clinical assessment framework to analyse patient case studies involving advanced dry eye interventions, identifying appropriate modality selection based on presentation, severity, and comorbidities.
- Evaluate emerging clinical evidence and real-world outcomes from IPL, RF, and LLLT modalities to critically appraise their integration into a comprehensive, patient-centered dry eye disease management plan.
- Identify indications for various dry eye management methods, including: Zest, Rinsada, Meibomian gland expression and lacramal lavage.
