Learning Objectives
- Understand modern glaucoma risk assessment and diagnosis
- Understand the modern treatment paradigm of interventional glaucoma care
- Understand minimally invasive and traditional glaucoma surgeries
- Recognise the variable appearance of choroidal naevi
- Be able to identify signs of potential malignant change in choroidal lesions
- Understand the importance of diagnostic imaging techniques (e.g., OCT, fundus photography, fluorescein angiography) in evaluating choroidal and retinal lesions and guiding diagnosis
- Learn how to monitor patients with choroidal and retinal lesions over time, and understand the role of optometrists in long-term management, including recognising when to refer for further specialist care
- Differentiate between corneal dystrophies and degenerations based on their aetiology, progression, and clinical presentation
- Recognise the signs and symptoms of common corneal dystrophies and degenerations, and understand when to refer for further management
