Early Career Optometry Victoria South Australia and Tasmania (ECOV/SA/T) presents:

Refractive Surgery: Slit lamp tricks after cataract and refractive procedures

Meet your speakers:

Graham Fraenkel
Dr Fraenkel became a Fellow of the College of Ophthalmologists in 1998, following completion of a Fellowship in cataract and refractive surgery in Sydney. Dr Fraenkel completed a further Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, England. Dr Fraenkel has taken further subspecialty training in cataract and refractive surgery with University diplomas in this subject at University of Sydney as well as University of Ulster, Ireland. Dr Fraenkel was the first ophthalmologist in SA to perform all laser LASIK and SMILE laser vision correction for myopia and hyperopia, as well as laser cataract surgery.
Laura Best Laura graduated from Flinders University in 2021 and has since worked in both independent and corporate optometry practices across metropolitan and regional locations. Throughout this time, she has also worked alongside Dr Fraenkel at Laser Vision SA, predominantly in refractive laser consultations and procedures. While still early in her career, this range of experiences has developed a broad range of skills and a unique perspective of the roles that optometrists can play.
