We’re excited to announce our upcoming Grand Rounds Seminar 2026, held in close collaboration with Nexus Hospital!

Learning Objectives

  • Appreciate the different topographic appearances
  • Appreciate how corneal topography can be applied in common clinical presentations
  • Appreciate how topography can be used to investigate unexplained vision loss
  • Describe practical strategies for evaluating and adopting new clinical techniques and technologies while balancing innovation, evidence, safety, and patient outcomes.
  • Recognise the importance of deliberate practice, preparation, and continuous learning in improving clinical performance and maintaining excellence throughout a career.
  • Apply lessons from contemporary cataract and refractive surgery innovations to their own optometric practice, including how to identify emerging opportunities and support informed patient discussions.
  • Understand the shared role of optometrists and ophthalmologists in delivering high-quality cataract carethrough communication, trust, and lifelong learning.
  • To understand physiological factors other than IOP that may influence glaucoma in some patients
  • To be aware of certain lifestyle choices which may positively or negatively affect glaucoma
  • To understand the interactions between laser refractive surgery and glaucoma
