Learning Objectives
- Appreciate the different topographic appearances
- Appreciate how corneal topography can be applied in common clinical presentations
- Appreciate how topography can be used to investigate unexplained vision loss
- Describe practical strategies for evaluating and adopting new clinical techniques and technologies while balancing innovation, evidence, safety, and patient outcomes.
- Recognise the importance of deliberate practice, preparation, and continuous learning in improving clinical performance and maintaining excellence throughout a career.
- Apply lessons from contemporary cataract and refractive surgery innovations to their own optometric practice, including how to identify emerging opportunities and support informed patient discussions.
- Understand the shared role of optometrists and ophthalmologists in delivering high-quality cataract carethrough communication, trust, and lifelong learning.
- To understand physiological factors other than IOP that may influence glaucoma in some patients
