Activity Outline

This CPD evening will be hosted at Guide Dogs Victoria.  This will allow attendees the opportunity to tour the facility. The CPD component will include presentations from 3 ophthalmologists (include an interactive component) and the opportunity to hear from SeeWay and Guide Dogs about low vision services available and engage directly with each not-for-profit representatives. 

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the latest in Epiretinal membrane and Vitreoretinal surgery treatment and what optometrists need to know in 2026.
  • Understand the latest in the treatment of AMD and Geographic Atrophy (GA); what protocols to follow and how optometrists can best screen their patients for referrals, in preparation for new treatment approvals.
  • Learn about what low vision services are offered from SeeWay and Guide Dogs, how patients are supported and what the referral pathway is both for the optometrist and direct for the patient where applicable.
