Activity Outline

Join us for an engaging evening focused on contemporary anterior segment practice, bringing together expert insights in cataract, refractive and corneal surgery.

Dr James McAlister presents “Looking for Monsters” — a thought-provoking exploration of the subtle risk factors and hidden challenges that can influence outcomes in cataract, refractive and corneal procedures. This session will highlight how to recognise and proactively manage the complexities that may impact surgical success.

Dr John Hogden presents “Optimising the Corneal Surface: Pterygium and Cataract Surgery” — a practical, evidence-based discussion on corneal surface optimisation and its critical role in improving surgical precision and visual outcomes. The session will focus on best practice approaches to pterygium management and considerations for cataract surgery planning.

This education evening offers valuable clinical insights, practical pearls, and the opportunity for collegial discussion within a professional setting.
