Learning Objectives

  • Provide their patients with a brief understanding of the different treatments for vitreomacular diseases
  • Have an understanding of the risk factors of the different vitreomacular diseases
  • Have an understanding of the presenting symptoms and signs of peripheral retina degenerations
  • Have an understanding of the new treatments of glaucoma
  • Be able to recognise when patients with progressing glaucoma should be referred
  • Be able to recognise when cataract should be referred
  • Have an understanding of the different general eye diseases a general ophthalmologist can manage
