Activity Outline

Case 6 Primary Open Angle Glaucoma

This online education programme provides an opportunity for eye health professionals to maintain their competence in diagnosing and treating glaucoma, assisting them in delivering the highest level of service and most up-to-date treatments available. The 2026 cases and Disc Assessment were compiled and prepared by Professor Dame Helen Danesh-Meyer.

Cases contain a combination of patient history, clinical examination findings, optic nerve photographs, visual field test results, optical coherence tomography scans as appropriate, and any other relevant clinical information. The Programme consists of 6 new cases, including case history, questions, and answers for self-directed learning, followed by a web-based examination comprised of 25 multi-choice and true/false questions.

  • Understand the indications for treatment of primary open angle glaucoma
  • Discuss the management options for primary open angle glaucoma
