Learning Objectives
- Explain the principle of gonioscopy
- Discuss the importance of gonioscopy in the assessment and monitoring of glaucoma and other ocular conditions
- List the various types of classification of irido-corneal angles
- Identify which ocular structures are visible when performing a gonioscopic examination
- Evaluate the progress of a patient’s condition by analysing gonioscopic results
- Compare and contrast the various gonioscopic lenses
- Review other techniques for assessing the risk of glaucoma including anterior OCT and pachymetry
- Recognise whether an irido-corneal angle is potentially occludable by grading the angle
- Illustrate an awareness of abnormalities in an irido-corneal angle
- Demonstrate the ability to perform the technique of gonioscopy.
