Activity Outline

In this workshop, we will look at the New Zealand legislative framework for oral prescribing in optometry and discuss how to stay within the scope of practice. We will explore medico‑legal responsibilities, discuss best‑practice co‑management with GPs and ophthalmologists, and touch on antibiotic stewardship, current NZ prescribing trends, and practical reflections from clinical experience.
