  • have a structured approach to identifying the cause of ocular surface pain
  • have a stepladder approach to dealing with the causes of ocular surface pain including neuropathic ocular pain
  • list causes of reduced visual acuity with an apparently normal exam
  • explain IOL options to a patient with corneal, retinal or optic nerve pathology
  • explain options for a patient not tolerating monovision, multifocals or single vision IOLs
  • describe STODS and steps to prevent and manage it
