Summary: This series of interactive talks will cover a diverse range of ophthalmic challenges in paediatrics, glaucoma, eyelid malignancies, and retinal diseases. Dr Maria Franchina will delve into complex strabismus and neuro-ophthalmology cases in both children and adults. Dr Irene Tan will present glaucoma cases, emphasising key features for risk assessment and management. Dr Pav Grounder will discuss orbital tumours, particularly those involving the upper eyelid and superotemporal orbit, offering insights into identifying and prioritising urgent cases. Finally, Dr Vignesh Raja will guide optometrists in recognising outer retinal pathologies, focusing on OCT and fundus signs for accurate, timely referrals

Topic: Not your average squint - challenging cases in paediatric and adult neuro-ophthalmology
Synopsis: This talk will present complex cases of childhood and adult strabismus and neuro-ophthalmology focussing on diagnosis and options for treatment. It will also review important ocular and systemic associations of strabismus.

1. Diagnose neuro-ophthalmic presentations in adults and children
2. Know the serious associations of strabismus
3. Identify when to initiate medical versus surgical management of ocular misalignment

Topic: Glaucoma cases - sit tight or take flight
Synopsis: This talk will present glaucoma cases to highlight concerning and reassuring features to aid in diagnosis and management

2. Understand priorities for glaucoma management
3. Identify features requiring escalation of treatment

Topic: What’s this poking out from under my eyelid?
Synopsis: This talk will discuss tumours that present from under the upper eyelid and particularly tumours of the superotemporal orbit.
Learning Objectives:
1. Use clues from history to identify orbital tumours
2. Identify signs at the slit lamp that assist diagnosis of orbital tumours
3. Understand which tumours require urgent referral

Topic : The clue is in the outer retina!
Synopsis: This talk will present cases with outer retinal pathology with classical features that help hone in on the diagnosis
Learning Objectives:
1. Help identify OCT signs in the outer retina to make a diagnosis
2. Correlate with other fundus findings
3. Help make a provisional diagnosis and guide whether to refer urgently / semi-urgently.
