Learning Objectives

• Discuss the differential diagnoses of various fundus appearances
• Describe the appropriate ophthalmic and non-ophthalmic investigations for various retinal diseases
• Discuss the management of various retinal diseases and be able to explain this to patients and encourage compliance with treatment plans
• Identify visually significant cataract prevalence
• Identify glaucoma and its various forms
• Identify cataract surgery/glaucoma intervention indications
• Explain cataract surgery/understand and be able to outline complications
• Explain common Glaucoma/Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery/devices/Selective laser trabeculoplasty
• Discuss the approach to common and less common scenarios of patients presenting with central visual loss.
