Learning Objectives

  • 1)Brain trauma can leads to loss of visual abilities. These manifest visually at various levels and need careful attention with special skills needed to assess them .Anxiety issues and depression also need to be addressed including stress issues. Identify Visual issues, Prescribe RX and vision therapy Participants should be able to identify and treat and refer on when appropriate.
  • 2)Learning Difficulties can be aggravated by visual discomfort. Case history.Appropriate refractive and vision ttherapy issues need to be addressed. Participants should be able to identify treat and or refer on in conjunction with other professionals.
  • 3)Global Delays can lead to challenging Assessments. These patients could be deaf, Have Visual processing issues , Lower IQ etc Assessment refraction and treatment to be discussed.Special abilities to asses these kids are needed. The participants will learn to identify and communicate better with these patients.
