Learning Objectives

  • To update on timely emergency management of eye and orbital trauma.
  • How to safely assess and triage ophthalmic and orbital trauma.
  • Update on treatment of some cases in the optometrist setting and when and who to refer on complex cases.
  • When to do an Esterman field for driving and how to interpret the results. Is 24-2 fields enough?
  • Ocular stroke, TIA, BRAO, CRAO; when to send urgently to hospital emergency/ stroke assessment.
  • To identify clinical features of PAM and melanoma and understand management principles.
  • To identify clinical features of CIN and SCC and understand management principles and treatment.
  • To identify clinical features of BRLH and Lymphoma and understand management principles.
