Activity Outline

This activity will be a face to face presentation about Crosslinking and Keratoconus and Eyelid Lesions presented by Canberra Eye Surgeons Ophthalmologists Dr Salim Okera and Dr Martin Duncan.

Crosslinking & Keratoconus - Dr Salim Okera: This presentation will focus on the identifying features and risk factors of keratoconus. The presentation will outline the benefits and limitations of crosslinking as treatment for keratoconus.

Eyelid Lesions - Dr Martin Duncan: This presentation will cover a range of skin lesions commonly affecting the eyelids, both benign and malignant. Clinical features, diagnosis and treatment options including medical and surgical procedures will be outlined.

The aim of the presentation is to enhance the clinical knowledge and skills of attending optometrists to effectively identify the conditions and understand management options. This in turn will enhance the ability of attendees to effectively care for their patients and arrange referrals to ophthalmologists.
