Learning Objectives

  • explain different measures used to control myopia
  • contrast and compare different measures used to control myopia in a variety health care settings
  • assess how patient attitudes and access to health care impacts the use of myopia control treatments
  • appraise current evidence in myopia control treatment including areas where evidence is not clear
  • assess different methods of myopia control with particular emphasis on the impact of local regulations and guidelines
  • apply knowledge of ocular anatomy to new instrumentation to better understand ocular surface shape
  • use AI-assisted programs to optimize orthokeratology lens fitting
  • interpret ocular surface measurements to optimize orthokeratology lens fitting
  • determine contraindications and indications for the safe use of therapeutic agents in myopia management
