Activity Outline
Telehealth is a broad term that can encompass a wide range of services. This talk will focus on the currently available methods optometrists can employ to access advice on the diagnosis and management of patients as well as discussing options for telehealth patient consultations in the current Australian Health care system. Options range from a simple phone call through to asynchronous picture archiving and communication systems. This will talk will detail the available options and the published evidence on their effectivity to help optometrists develop processes for their practices to best utilise available technologies and resources.
