OWA CPD Metro Evening on Wednesday 10th September in Perth with AP Chandra Balaratnasingam, sponsored by Bayer.

Topic: Assessing the Retina Beyond the Obvious

This is planned as an In Person Event & Zoom attendance.

REGISTRATION OPEN IN PERSON & ZOOM

Summary:
Retina imaging has evolved over the past 20 years to facilitate visualization of retina detail at almost a cellular level. Integration of retinal imaging information from multiple modalities (multimodal imaging) further amplifies the accuracy of disease detection.  This talk will focus on imaging features from OCT, autofluorescence and angiography that characterize uncommon retinal diseases and that need to be recognized in optometric practice to minimize severe vision loss and systemic morbidity.  Cases will be used to illustrate the imaging features that differentiate rare presentations from common disease entities that may present with what appears to be similar signs.

Learning Objective:
To improve the interpretation of retinal imaging to minimize misdiagnoses and recognize the imaging features of less common diseases.

This is planned as an In Person Event & Zoom attendance.
