OWA CPD Evening 10th August 2022.

Optometry Western Australia’s first August Metro CPD will be on 10th August  2022 presented by Nicola Peaper, Rodenstock.  This is an Interactive CPD for In Person & Zoom Audience.  Please have a device ready to participate in Online Polls during the evening. 

The duration of this talk is 90 minutes with 10 optional MCQS.

This presentation looks at case studies including:

• Anisometropia in single vision wear

• Anisometropia in progressive lens wear

• Height challenged patients and progressive lenses

• Aspheric single vision problems.

Learning Objectives

  • How to calculate and solve issues from different magnification and prism experienced with anisometropia.
  • Understanding the problems caused by posture and the solutions that can be offered with progressive lens wear
  • Understanding the problems that can be encountered when changing patients to aspheric single vision lenses from spherical
  • Max CPD hours awarded: 2 Interactive Hours CPD  – If no assessment pass, then only 1.5 Interactive Hours available.

Nicola Peaper graduated from the University of Wales and qualified as an optometrist in the UK in 1985. She practiced in both private and corporate practice in the UK for 20 years including 8 years in her own practice. In 2001/2 she was employed as Ophthalmic Advisor to Kensington, Chelsea & Westminster Health Authority.
Since moving to Australia in 2005 she has worked in optical laboratories advising on procedures and quality. In roles as State and National training manager she has gained extensive experience in presenting the technology behind, and the prescribing and fitting of ophthalmic lenses.
Nicola Peaper is currently the National Professional Services Manager.
