Topic: Roundup of Ocular Oncology Cases for 2025

Summary:
A didactic case based discussion of all the choroidal tumours and retinal tumours that have presented in WA in the last 12 months as well as their diagnosis and treatment by medicine, surgery, or radiotherapy.   Also included is a brief of the things to come, including WA’s first stereotactic unit scheduled to be running in 2026

Learning Objective:
Understanding how to diagnose choroidal tumours and how early detection can lead to saving lives

Dr Jonathan Lam

Show details

Dr Jonathan Lam is a consultant cataract and vitreoretinal surgeon and vitreo-retinal oncologist based at Perth Retina, with additional appointments at Fremantle Hospital and Royal Perth Hospital. He completed dual VR and Ocular Oncology fellowships in Australia and the UK, including at the world-renowned Liverpool Ocular Oncology Centre and vitreoretinal unit. His current focus includes basic and complex cataract surgery, retinal surgical disease, and establishing ocular oncology services in Western Australia.
