OWA Social Event Rock Climbing – August 2025

After having record numbers register for the HBF Run for a Reason, we decided that the Q3 Social Event needs to be another physical activity – and there are many studies suggesting that climbing is particularly effective for improving mental health.

We followed the suggestion of one of our members, who recently took up rock climbing and this has given her the opportunity to join a community and travel interstate and overseas with the sport.

Everyone starts somewhere, and Oasis Climbing in Malaga are keen to help our OWA members start their journey.

Date: Sunday 10th August

Time: 10:30am (3 hours of climbing led by staff)

Dress: Comfortable active wear is recommended

Catering: pizzas and drinks – please advise of any dietaries

Safety inductions will be conducted

For members All food and climbing expenses paid including harnesses and gear hire

Non-members cost $30 inc GST – Includes all above and food / drinks.
