Three ophathlmologist presenting face to face. Optometrists will be divided into smaller groups for group discussion and to have an in depth look at various case studies together.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand retina anatomy and physiology.
  • Understand common peripheral retinal diseases.
  • Understand the diagnosis and management of peripheral retinal diseases.
  • Expanding knowledge to diagnosing diabetic retinopathy.
  • Co-manage a diabetic patient
  • Determine the urgency of referral for diabetic retinopathy.
  • triage an ocular emergency.
  • Be aware of the management plan for an ocular emergency
  • Understand the urgency of referral for certain eye emergencies.
