In this article, optometrists Neil Retallic and Sheena Tanna-Shah explore how we can easily adopt our best practice approach to achieve these aims as effectively as possible.
As such, it is an ECP’s duty of care to take a holistic approach to providing patient care, by proactively working to identify signs of declining mental health, then recommending and advising on appropriate care and support services.
Eye care professionals (ECPs) are well placed to spot the signs of mental health challenges in patients, some of which will be associated with ocular manifestations.
