Optometrists are often the first point of contact for patients with inherited retinal diseases. This presentation will provide optometrists with key information on diagnosing inherited retinal diseases (IRDs), navigating genetic testing, and understanding the evolving landscape of research and therapies. Understanding the latest advancements allows us to offer hope to families affected by these devastating conditions.
The second session is timely webinar panel discussion addresses key concepts optometrists need to know about the diagnosis and management of geographic atrophy (GA) in light of recent changes in optometric clinical guidelines for late-stage age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and the evolving treatment landscape. Led by Michael Yapp, Head of Clinical Operations at the Centre for Eye Health, the webinar features an impressive panel of clinicians and researchers, including A/Professor Fred Chen and Dr Rachael Heath Jeffery from Lions Eye Institute, and Anna Puglisi from Lumina Eye Centre.
