  • Apply a structured approach to assessing the red eye and recognise key red flags requiring urgent referral Differentiate common presentations from potentially sight-threatening pathology
  • Determine when corneal foreign bodies can be safely managed in-practice versus when referral is required Demonstrate evidence-based techniques for corneal foreign body removal, including post-removal care and follow-up
  • Identify clinical features suggestive of keratoconus and know when to suspect the condition in routine practice Interpret corneal tomography (including Pentacam findings) to assess severity and detect progression Describe current keratoconus management pathways, including referral timing and treatment options such as corneal collagen cross-linking and CAIRS
