Activity Outline
This CPD webinar, delivered in partnership with Mivision
and Eyerising International, will explore the real-world application of
repeated low-level red-light (RLRL) therapy in clinical practice in Australia.
Delivered live online, the session brings together leading experts in
ophthalmology and optometry who will share practical insights, case studies,
and their perspectives on the role of RLRL therapy in myopia management.
Firstly, ophthalmologist Dr Loren Rose will
present an overview of her experience with RLRL in treatment-resistant high
myopia, including her clinical observations, real-world outcomes and
considerations when incorporating RLRL into patient care and monitoring its
efficacy and safety. She will also discuss the emerging evidence, safety
considerations and tolerability, and the combination use of RLRL with existing
myopia control treatments.
Next, optometrist Philip Cheng will share insights
into his clinical journey with RLRL, providing a practical lens into his
patient selection, communication strategies with parents and families, and
integration of RLRL into his comprehensive myopia management practice. With
years of experience in orthokeratology, specialty lenses, and myopia control,
Philip will offer actionable takeaways for practitioners considering RLRL in
their own clinics and where it fits in alongside existing options.
The webinar will conclude with a live panel
discussion and Q&A session, giving attendees the opportunity to engage
directly with the speakers and explore key clinical and business questions
surrounding this innovative therapy.
Accredited for CPD in both Australia and New
Zealand, this complimentary 90-minute session is designed for optometrists and
ophthalmologists seeking to deepen their knowledge of myopia management and
broaden their clinical toolkit.
