Activity Outline

The UNSW School of Optometry and Vision Science proudly celebrates its 50th anniversary with a special continuing education event designed to inspire and engage eye care professionals. This milestone gathering will highlight the cutting-edge technologies now available in our state-of-the-art teaching clinic, offering participants a unique opportunity to experience innovation firsthand.

The program features an interactive round robin format, encouraging peer-to-peer discussion and collaborative learning. Attendees will explore practical applications of imaging in Dry Eye Disease, Anterior Eye, Myopia Management, Retinal Disease, gaining insights into how these tools enhance both diagnosis and patient care in a world class teaching environment.

In addition to clinical demonstrations, the event will provide a glimpse into advanced research methodologies. Participants will be introduced to simulated environment research alongside tear analysis techniques that deepen our understanding of ocular surface health. These research perspectives will be complemented by demonstrations of high magnification optical coherence tomography (OCT) and the IOLMaster for optical biometry, showcasing how technology bridges the gap between research and clinical practice.

Join us in celebrating 50 years of excellence in optometry and vision science and be part of an engaging educational experience that looks toward the future of eye care.
