The article by Adam Samuels, Philip Morgan and Anna Sulley summarises a recent literature review on ways to increase success with new contact lens wearers in practice. 

Highlights of the article include:

- reasons for contact lens drop out

- the evidence across seven different areas including vision, comfort, handling in relation to new wearers

-- evidence-based advice for the management of new wearers for each of the seven areas
