Learning Objectives
- Understand current techniques for pterygium surgery, including pre-operative criteria for referral, as well post operative care and medical therapy and discussion of follow up dependent on pathology results.
- Gain a better knowledge of IOL platforms used and newer techniques for location of toric lenses. Post operative complications and the development of Irvine Gass syndrome and topical therapy will be discussed.
- Ascertain reasons for current trends in glaucoma moving away from drops and into the realm of surgery. Current MIGS techniques and stents will be discussed as well as SLT.
