Learning Objectives

  • Differentiating progressive of keratoconus from progression of axial myopia, amblyopia, cataract and other corneal dystrophies
  • Recognising clinical features than represent OSSN over other commoner non dysplastic ocular surface lesions
  • Understanding why topical chemotherapy rather than surgery is the gold standard for treatment while biopsy remains important to establish the diagnosis but in itself is not meant to be an effective treatment
  • Recognise Common periocular malignancies
  • Be aware of different Treatment options for eyelid malignancies
  • Recognise eyelid conditions not to be missed that may masquerade as a benign condition.
  • Recognise commoner non OSSN ocular Surface and anterior Segment lesions
  • Be aware of different treatment options for non-pigmented ocular surface and anterior segment lesions
