- To improve interpretation of OCT findings and recognise typical features of retinal disease
- To recognise pathology on OCT requiring urgent referral
- • Understand modern IOL categories: o Monofocal + (enhanced monofocal) o EDOF o Trifocal (focus: Odyssey & Envy)
- Improve patient selection & counselling of IOL
- Recognise trade-offs (quality vs range of vision) IOL
- Compare standard vs femtosecond cataract surgery
- To understand the needs for new treatments, to improve the quality of life for patients
- To gain knowledge of the new medications being used as treatments and their mechanisms of action, as well as their benefits
