Learning Objectives

  • The objective is to recognise serious symptoms and signs of a red eye, and to know when to refer.
  • Be cognisant of new IOL technologies to offer improved refractive outcome Understand the role of MIGS in managing glaucoma patients.
  • To understand some less common causes of retinal ischaemia, retinal vein occlusion and vitreous haemorrhage. To understand the treatment principles of inflammatory retinal conditions with retinal ischaemia. To be familiar with OCT and fundus images of some less common retinal diagnoses.
